Stereo has been supplying interior designers with high-quality wallcoverings and fabrics since 2001.
Founded by Martyn Bennett and Jocelyn Angrave, Stereo continues to thrive with an experienced and customer-focussed team from its base just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Nick has been with the company since 2007 and since then has been our ever-present customer service guru.
Nick manages all customer-facing operations for Stereo and invariably it’s his calm voice customers first hear when calling our office. Yet behind the scenes he’s also pulling all the strings to ensure that our customers receive the right information, most appropriate sampling and that their orders are delivered promptly.
When he is not in the office, Nick will either be found messing about on the river, vainly trying to organise his record collection, or enjoying a pint (or two) of warm brown beer.

Having originally trained in English, Sport and Art, Tara later developed a career in providing and advising on health and wellbeing products and treatments, usually in a one-to-one client setting. Her interest in organic growing methods and environmental issues led her into a position within the organic beauty and wellbeing sector, delivering, once again, highly personalised and tailored solutions.
Her life-long interest in design, art and aesthetics, combined with a strong customer-focussed approach, fits well with her role as Sales Manager for Stereo’s predominantly natural, luxury product collection.
Outside of work, Tara can frequently be found strolling outdoors, at a music gig or the theatre, often accompanied by a large (and preferably organic) gin and tonic.

Jackie has been at Stereo since 2002 having started out cutting and labelling samples in what was the original Stereo kitchen.
Her main role now is as the company accounts administrator as well as coordinating client mail outs and general office duties. She still likes to keep her hand in cutting and labelling samples.
As a book lover she enjoys her shift at a local charity bookshop every Saturday where, as a modern languages graduate she is responsible for the foreign languages section and thereby able to source Russian literary treasures for Martyn.
She belongs to a local choir where the emphasis is, fortunately, on singing like no one is listening.

Originally from Cornwall, Jocelyn’s vocation was initially academic as a degree in European Studies was followed by study in the US for a master’s in political science. In the 1990’s she moved from political theory to the political reality of corporate management, successfully leading the marketing and product development operations of an international interiors company.
In 2001, seeking a more straightforward engagement with both product design and people, Jocelyn took the decision to move from the corporate world and, in collaboration with Martyn, established Stereo.
With a long-term interest in education, she serves on the board of trustees for an academy trust and when time permits she can be found scouring antique shops and markets for pieces to add to her vintage glass collection.

Martyn has spent nearly 40 years sourcing and editing wallcoverings of many kinds. In 2001 he and Jocelyn formed Stereo, a collaboration that would allow him to turn his attentions solely upon the development of textile wallcoverings.
Stereo would also allow Martyn to return to a small business environment where product excellence is underpinned by prompt and intelligent customer service.
When not painting the skirting on the Stereo Decorex stand, Martyn likes to explore Europe by train.

Helen has had a fascinating career ranging from Aircraft Brokerage, to Customer Services to a Cook and Housekeeper. She finally found her dream job: working for Stereo being our representative in Ireland and maker of all our fabrics samples.
She lives with her husband and daughter in the beautiful West of Ireland where she has become an active member of the local community, an avid quilter, reader and music fan.
If there’s anyone worth seeing perform in Limerick, Cork or Dublin, chances are, she’ll be there.
